Personal Ideals

Persistence

  • We are often told genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration, that perspiration comes from persistence.
  • We need to stick with things in order to make them come to fruition
  • A plant in your garden will only grow and survive by chance if its left to itself, but given the right pruning, fertilizer, watering and soil cultivation, it will grow, blossom and bear fruit.
  • Approve of yourself, stay focussed, see the value in everything you do and that happens to you, not just today or for a while, but always.

Belief
I do not believe we can all pull ourselves up by our boot straps, There is a balance to be had between nature and nurture, love and will action and circumstance. As much as we find success it is our absolute responsibility to help and aid others, however…

I was advised by a friend to “dream” what I wanted in a a very specific way, after my divorce finding I did not attract the right people I started one night to dream a new partner…I met my present partner the very next day, and in March of 2007 we had a baby together and in March 2008 we were married. What you focus on you will find in your life.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?”….” We are all meant to shine.” (Nelson Mandela)

Guidance

Guidance is the act of showing the way, enabling someone to make the right choices for themselves in their own personal and creative journey in order to motivate, empower and affirm.

We all need guidance, it is not possible to grow and develop on our own. Guides come in many forms, friends, teachers, partners, young, old, male and female, and through out our lives we know and appreciate many guides.

Outcomes

I hope from time to time I have inspired people to make positive changes in their careers and lives. These changes include gaining confidence and assertiveness, understanding and managing things differently, raising your awareness of your own value and an appreciation of the qualities you need to achieve your goals.

I think Louise Hay puts it very succinctly:

“The way we think and feel are the tools we use to paint the canvas of our lives” (Louise Hay)
