Poppies whats it all about
Now I realise that the British Legion that organises the sale of poppies does an amazing job and helps us in many ways to remember those that have been killed in wars, and whatever you remember them for: whether as comrades, family members or the destruction of a good life, you remember them. … Other wear them as a mark of respect and for those that have fought, because they have seen and shared things in a way to keep us safe in our beds and so we do not have to se these things.

Is it time for compulsory voting
With a fine for all those on the electoral register if they do not turn up to vote. … Perhaps we need a carrot and stick approach, how about in any year if you turn up to vote you get an automatic 5-10% reduction in your local taxes, If you don’t turn up a 1000 euro/pound/dollar fine.
…At present in my local council the same people are elected by 2 out of every ten voters, time after time, we get the same people elected by a small minority of the voting population.
