Poppies whats it all about

Now I realise that the British Legion that organises the sale of poppies does an amazing job and helps us in many ways to remember those that have been killed in wars, and whatever you remember them for: whether as comrades, family members or the destruction of a good life, you remember them. … Other wear them as a mark of respect and for those that have fought, because they have seen and shared things in a way to keep us safe in our beds and so we do not have to se these things.
Naturally, the common people don't want war, but after all, it is the leaders of a country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist 
Genocide.

So its happened, and here i am writing in the thick of it, commuting to London has never been quite so horrible or horrendous, and the horror of war is brought home to us. I however am relatively safe in South West London and away from the war zone
