Firstly why did he need to make the claim he wasn’t political, and second this is bigger than the crash of 1929 and these people dont really know about it, its the hurricane Katrina of economic storms and they really have no idea on how it will effect them.
Then I realise…they work in the NHS. These and other people just have no idea how these events will lead to massive changes in our economic and political landscape, how it will effect jobs, not just in the city, not just in our economy but across nations and continents. Where is the money going to come from to fund the NHS they work in now, one The Labour Governement has worked really hard to reinvest in. You can be sure that more PPi is on its way and the slackers and the can’t be bothered and the 60 years of doing it this way have a good chance of being removed. Some of which I will be glad of to be honest…but a bigger fear is this may bring it all tumbling down. (doom gloom)
In the UK Labours Gordon Brown, has in a sentence reframed our view of him and the opposition, its no time for novices. And now David Cameron and his gang look like light weights you wouldn’t trust with your pocket money. In the USA John McCains ill advised interfrence in the 700 billion dollar rescue package has scuppered that, and put Obama 7 points ahead in the polls.
But whoever wins will be in charge of at least 5 years of austerity which will probabaly shape the way the 21st century looks for us all. We need to remeber that the 20th century started in a similar way and it took 2 world wars and immense destruction and therefore production to continue with capitalism, we dont have that option anymore and Marx is looking like a Prophet.
