Woodburning stove

Well I finally did it, and everything can be bought on the net, I bought a wood burning stove from www.naturalheating.co.uk, who were very helpful and full of advise and interest, and they were not as expensive as you think.  I went for a wood burner rather than a multifuel stove mainly because wood burning is what is called carbon neutral.  I also bought all my flue items from www.theflueshop.com, who were equally helpful and sell flue parts in steel and vitreous enamel of all sizes and types.

-A defintion of carbon neutral: CarbonNeutral status can be applied to almost anything Ð entire companies, events, products, services etc. It represents the point at which greenhouse gas emissions have been assessed, reduced where possible and the remaining non-reducible emissions offset through high quality renewable energy, energy-efficiency or forestry projects. This status is backed up by a standard Ð The CarbonNeutral Protocol.

A wood burning stove is supposedly carbon neutral because the tree you are burning has in its life time used up carbon emissions equal to the amount emitted when it is burnt.

I am not sure about this but there was an offer on, now all I have to find is a good source of logs, my sister has offered some.

How did i get into all this, well the people who lived here before me took there woodburner with them (yeah how nice is that!) but left the new chimney lining and register plate etc so all i had to do was buy a fire and get it fitted, in the UK there are all sorts of laws about these things, anyhow lets hope it keeps me warm come winter.
