Politics, Poetry, Psychology, Rants and Recipes
i have lived so long on the edge of society or perhps in the grey area and with a real sense of being alive that i had forgotten the soporific nature of buckling down to regular 9 to 5 work and living closer to the centre. I have in the past written about seeing loads of people going to work half asleep…now i am begiining to realise why.
They are saying that 75 percent of people under 40 have no savings and are storing up financial problems…as if anyone would be surprised..how much do all these things the masses are encouraged to buy via the advertsing mags of celebrity (I mean what else are those people but walking commercial and promotional items?)…i mean exactly how much is a stupid ipod and what are its real costs socially and ecologically?
Everything about this system seems designed to put us to sleep while it has the appearance of waking us…its like the save you money ads that actualy encourage you to spend.
I see in the morning people dreaming whilst they read the papers that don’t inform them but tell them what to think and what to talk about at work that day. As far as politics goes, now thye are all proving corrupt who really cares enough to wake up and change things for the better.
So lets get back to the beginning and all these people (just a pay packet away from penury) who have been depoliticised, individualised, and commercialised..they are told what to think and what not to think…lets see what happens when the water runs out in the south or gas prices rise again or the fuel price curtails their personal freedom.
NO ONE CAN RESCUE US NO ONE WILL SAVE US WE MIGHT NEED TO DO IT FOR OURSELVES…but right now all i hear is the snoring.
