Sussex by The Sea

The Seaside

I love being by the sea, and if I am in a hot country, I like to swim, the best bit about being by the sea, is…

Just lying on the beach and soaking up the warmth. In sussex is a little coastal town of Seaford, it like most of the sussex beaches is pebbles, but it is the ‘Pebble Riviera, Seaford is near the port of Newhaven, but far enough away for you not to notice and it is sheltered and the sea is good, ideal for a Bar-b-q on the beach.
There is something liberating about finding your own little spot laying down towels and rugs marking your territory and the lying down and falling asleep. Its great in the med, coz of all the little bars selling ice cold beer right next to the beach and the cafes, I miss that in England.
I must say I do not like sand between my toes, so pebbles suit me, not do I like the gigantic ants, that you get on some greek beaches.
I love the sound of the sea, its very relaxing the lapping of the sea on the shore and the movement of water, and at the sea side there is always the sound of joy and laughter which is lovely to hear and very healing.
Next time you are in The UK or in Sussex, visit Seaford, its not like Brighton or Eastbourne, there is not much there really except a large bay and the sea, it not beautiful, its not grand, but its unspoilt, has a railway station, and its unnecessary to go anywhere else.
