Using words to heal
Healing with Words
Healing is obviously something I am interested in and I thought I needed a more abovious category to that end. IT came to me because i have not been to well the last couple of days and I had been examining why that was. There are many forms of healing but all aim to do the same thing, empower someone to a greater balance and centredness in their lives
I watched Jesse Duplantis the Master of Pentecostal evangelist Ministers in a streamed broadcast from his website. I have a great admiration for this guy, he is much criticised and I don’t claim to understand his annointing and other stuff from his background, but from my liberal Quaker point of view i have never heard him say anything negative, derogatory, self-rightious, racist, anti-women or anything else I often find difficult amongst the self styled TV-evangelsists.
What he did say echoed what my friend Phil had said the other day, that we are damned by our words, we make ourselves ill and stop our selves being well with out words, what we say becomes real, I feel ill, I feel bad, and so on rather than I am on the path to health, let say, or the old adage of i am getting better and better every day.
You see for all the healing from crystals, from acupuncture from the old ways from Christianity and so on, if we do not think ‘well’ selves, then we think ‘ill’ and thinking ill makes us ill. Or as duplantis says, we talk ourselves into cancer…”it runs in the family” or diabetes or eczema or asthma, we expect to get it we tell ourselevs we will, and like the idea that winter brings colds and flu, as my son said when he was six to a tecaher at school who wanted him to put a coat on in the playground, so he wouldn’t catch cold, “a cold” he says “comes from a virus, not from not putting your coat on”. Now that virus is in us all the time, what it means is our immune systems can be effected by the winter the summer or whatever, but most of all it is effected by our state of mind, and as they dscover in Neuro Linguistic Programming,(NLP) what we say is part of our programming.
So next time you find yourself running your health down, try saying this “I delete that programme, and have decided to think well of myself now” “I am replacing that old programme with a new positive one… I am well, I am loved, I am worth loving, I take good care of myself and I am doing it now”
