Celebrate what you have (do not concentrate on what you have not got)

Rejoice in what you have (stop moaning)

Back again after a stressful break moving house, I have become aware of the importance of celebrating what you have …

In the Uk especially we are so good at moaning about things, (never complaining, although we are getting better at this) if its sunny, its too hot, if its winter its too cold, and so on. I have realised how much I have got sucked into this way of thinking, that whatever I have isn’t good enough.

The Tv adverts and so on encourage us to think whatever we have doesn’t measure up, or isn’t the right thing, we should always be aspiring to bigger and better (nothing wrong with that I suppose when taken in the right way)

However try rejoicing at the beginning and the end of your day for what you have, for your acheivemnts for who you are and you will find a lot more positive action and reaction is drawn your way.

I have been through a time of loss, marital breakup, moving house changing jobs and these they say are the single most stressful things we do in life, what I am finding that helps me, is to acknowledge the loss but celebrate what I have…my new job, a new house, new neighbours, new vistas, new experiences and opportunities…so here on christmas eve at the turning of the year, as dark moves to light, what ever your beliefs or faith rejoice on a new beginning, for what you have however small…and the deep peace of the air be with you.
