There are so many fantastic things in the world and happiness is sharing these … the sunshine that pours throught the house on a crisp spring day; the erotic sensuality of the silken skin of secret places; the warm wind and white sand of well earned holiday rest; childrens faith that all will be well; the south downs; the yorkshire moors; the sea; a piece of music that makes you move; a good book; a poem; a song; a hug; a kiss; just silliness; a good belly laugh.
I also get sad about lots of things, I am not into the idea that people ought to be happy, or that unhappiness is a symptom of some maladjustment or is baggage you shouldn’t carry; it seems sometimes that that kind of attitude creates a burden of unavoidable unhappiness which is increased by unhappiness about being unhappy. Sadness is just another emotion, one that can be just as enobling, creative and enlightening as happiness.
