Emails warning of Viruses – IGNORE THEM

I got one of thoise emails to day, of the sort that warns you not to open some email becuase Microsoft and Norton have said it has this eviul virus in it that wipes your computer of all data…oh god not again, why do people lap this crap up and then send it to all their friends. WITHOUT CHECKING FIRST!

here are the basic rules if you ever receive one of these mails, in this case the one I got called “life is Beautiful”

Internet hoaxes …do not send out mass emails warning people about viruses

1. sending this sort of rubbish out just blocks the internet,

2. before believing any mail about viruses, why not actually check at:

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/ (symantec are the makers of Norton Anti Virus),

Go to the bottom of the page and click on hoaxes, scroll down the page to “life is beautiful”

I will save you the trouble and you can just click here:

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/life.is.beautiful.hoax.html

my advice cut and paste this article and send it back to anyone who sends you are a generalised virus warning about a supposed email
