I have been pondering on the Michael Jackson story for some time, and then I heard the story of heather reynolds and it created for me a stark contrast between one persons attitude to children (funfairs monkeys, buying parentage, and so on) and anothers (giving, helping, caring inorder to alleviate suffering). He has been found innocent, She has been helping the innocent.
I recommend the website:

and have just heard heather on the radio talking about her new book (see more information about it at the site) about her struggle to help children in southern africa, especially those with AIDS/HIV. I found it all terribly moving, and I am thankful there are people like heather who care enough to releive the burden. It is not a path for everyone, but it is one way to help actively to releive world poverty
Michael Jackson if you ever want to redeem yourself, give it all away, leave the USA, go to South Africa and go help Heather, that is where you can give back to children.
