A matter of survival
Sometimes there appears to be no development, no growth no moving forward, and its at these times you realise…
That sometimes all we can do is survive. The black rings under the eyes, the ache in the body, the mind that will not still, the heart that is already broken. However all you have to do is put one foot in front of the other, one thought beside another, get under and out of the cover, work, speak play go to the lavatory wash and so on.
When you look back you will see how much you changed during this time, how much you grew and learned and understood, but in the mean time it is only survival.
One day you will lie on a beach in the warm sun and the survival of now will be all too real, but life is short and we can still laugh when someone says bottom, arse or something similar.
I wrote this in 2004 and now looking at it again in 2006, I realise how much we can create our future, because last summer i lay on a beach with a new love and a new way and I had put one foot in fornt of the other and laughed at my arse and my path had led me to someone who has taught me alot of love and life and led me to lie down on the warm sand in the warm sun.
