Not everyone can like you!
Someone who didn’t like me once said this to me, and although its true its not an excuse to become dislikable.
You can’t commnicate without listening, as I have found to my cost. Nor should you allow your individuality and expression to xist at the expense of others. No not everyone can like you, but it might be a better world if we all tried to be a little more likable.
so much of life these days seems to be about “Me”, my voice loud enough to wake you up at night, my music that you must here a i go by in my car, my right to be first in the queue and so on.
I once went to dinner with a japanese friend who explained to me that it was not good manners to pour your own saki, it was your job to see that your neighbour at the dinner table always had a full glass.
Individually and as a society we are too busy filling our own glass to see that not only are others at the table with an empty glass, still more have no glass at all and further there are others that were not even invited to the table.
What are you willing to give up, who are you wiling to give to , who can you put before yourself to make the world a better place…Think globally, act locally, make it work right here and now!
