Hurt by Relationships?

A thought last new year

I wrote this an email to a friend and wanted to share with you

The People thing, I realise that many at our age are hurt by relationships and life and this makes us a bit reticent a la one of the verses in Oriah Mountain Dreamers…The invitation…..

We hold back, think its got to all be mature and serious and look for someone to fill a space left by lost partners children and so on… What I am learning is that I am still sexy, can step out, be free more open minded, take risks,(but not if they effect health HIV etc) its OK to have a short term relationship, if you both know what you are up to and are consenting adult after all, sex is good for you, as is cuddling kissing and so on on.
I don’t just mean if it moves screw it I think its deeper than that about not pretending and stop lieing, and worrying…I love it on Louise Hays CD that I have when she says she loves us all and sends her love or for example I didn’t bother with new year, never liked it, always preferred Xmas, so i stayed in decided to get a bit depressed and went to bed early, next day I felt greeeaat!! We all have alot of love to give, perhaps being hurt or wounded is just part of it, yin and yang But in the end just like when I was younger and like a lot of people I am looking for something permanent “the one” whoever that may be, meantime who knows…
